H.R. Giger Bio Mechanical Challenge

I did this image for a book, it was under the H.R. Giger Biomechanical Challenge section. I built the entire model inside of Zbrush using dynamesh to get the main shape roughed out. This model started out as a basic sphere and was pushed and pulled until everything came together. I then exported out the mesh and textured in inside of Photoshop using the Quixel Suite Plug-in. I imported the model into Maya and did my render passes using both Mental Ray and Arnold. The final composite was put together with both After Effects and Photoshop.
